Gloria C. Pieples

1932 - 2022

Gloria C. Pieples, 90, of Arnold, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, Pa. She was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Arnold, to the late Ugo and Amerina "Mary" (Pagliari) Monzi. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Upon graduating from Arnold High School in 1949, she was employed by Schenley Industries where she met her husband Joseph E. Pieples, from Vandergrift. She also worked as a teacher's aide in the New Kensington-Arnold School District and retired from employment as a case worker at the PA Welfare Office. Gloria enjoyed cooking and baking, and especially loved making pizzelles, chocolate gobs, and her special spaghetti sauce every Sunday. She enjoyed dancing and loved being with family and friends. Gloria is survived by two sons, Kurt (Susan) Pieples, of Naples, Fla., and Timothy "Tim" (Linda) Pieples, of Indiana, Pa. Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband; and her brother, Ronald Monzi. Gloria is survived by four grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashlee) Pieples, Michele (Jeff) Scott, Kellsey (Greg) Lucas and Lindsey Pieples; and seven great-grandchildren, Rory, Chloe, Kiah, Ethan, Clayton, Cameron, and Madeline. She is survived by two special cousins, Eileen Berg and Jim Mazza; a brother-in-law, Thomas (Charlotte) Pieples, of Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Bernice "Chick" McCutcheon, of Apollo. Gloria is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of blessing service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, PA 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor. Burial will be private.
