Grover T. Binkey

1937 - 2025

Grover T. Binkey, 87, of Ligonier, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at home. Born, November 26, 1937 in Latrobe, he was the youngest of seven children to the late Joseph P. and Mary Hazel (Ross) Binkey, and the husband of 66 wonderful years to Marie (Brown) Binkey. Grover enjoyed attending the Bullskin Tractor Pullers events and was a 50 year member of the Westmoreland Tractor Pullers. He was a Ligonier Township Supervisor for over 12 years and was a manager at Red Arrow Farms for 58 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wes Binkey, Valerie (Raymond) Fencil, Charlene McWilliams, Gary (Sharon) Binkey, Loretta (Mark) Davis; 12 grandchildren, Katie, Malinda, Mary, Bentley, Shannon, Amanda, Abby, Jill, Sam, Garret, Grace, and Allison' 13 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, McKenzi, Mia, Ryleigh, Brantley, Miles, Enid, Redding, Ruth, Charlotte, Rose, Elizabeth, and Grover; many nieces and nephews; and cousins by the dozens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Olive Lenhart, Grace Altman, Jane Iscrupe, Mae Stewart, Mildred Walters, and John Binkey; and son-in-law, Clyde McWilliams. A visitation in honor of Grover's life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 1 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at SNYDER-GREEN FUNERAL HOME located at 402 East Church Street, Ligonier, PA, where a Funeral Service will be held on August 29, 2025 at 10:00 am with Minister Roy Worsham officiating. Private Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cook Township.
