Hazel Karwoski Obituary

Hazel E. (Morrow) Karwoski, 84, of Gibsonia, died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Armstrong County Health Center. She was born July 7, 1931, in Kittanning, to the late John and Sarah (Slagle) Morrow. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked at Penn Tire with her family for 34 years. She was a member of Bakerstown United Methodist Church. She loved spending time at her camp in Mosgrove along the Allegheny River and she also liked waterskiing, bowling, playing cards and slot machines. She was a very hard worker and worked with her son at Penn Tire up until the time of her stroke. She enjoyed making Christmas cookies with her daughter every Christmas. The thing she enjoyed most was being with her family no matter where that happened to be. Survivors include her son, David Karwoski, of Butler; daughter, Tanya (Dave) Bruno, of Dayton; five grandchildren, Nikki Karwoski, Sarah Karwoski, Nathan Karwoski, Alyssa Bruno and Keeley Bruno; and brothers, John Morrow, of Alamo, Calif., and Robert Morrow, of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, George Karwoski, who passed away in 2003.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning with the Rev. Dennis Swineford officiating. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery. A reception will follow at the family's camp in Mosgrove so they ask that you bring a change of clothes or dress appropriately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bakerstown United Methodist Church at 5760 William Flynn Highway, Gibsonia, PA 15044. For more information or to sign an online condolence, please visit www.snydercrissman.com.

We remember the good times we had with Hazel, cookouts, skiing on the river, swimming, were some of the outdoor activities but we also enjoyed dinners together, special holidays, family visits and much, much more. Hazel, you are missed. We still laugh about our times together. ❤❤
