Jewell M. (Smith) Knappenberger, 75, of Kiski Township, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025. Born Dec. 30, 1949, in Hamlin, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Smith and Freda Smith. Jewell was a 1968 graduate of East Liverpool High School and lived in Kiski Township for the last 52 years. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and taking care of her home. In addition to her parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Smith; and her sister, Ellen Louise Watson. Jewell is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul U. Knappenberger Jr.; siblings, Emmit (Lan) Smith, Glenda Chapman of North Carolina, and Richard (Karen) Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., with Pastor Clair Knappenberger officiating.
