John E. DeWitt

1935 - 2025

Ed DeWitt passed away on Aug. 9, 2025. He was born Jan. 31, 1935, and grew up in Leechburg, moved to Medina, OH, and retired to Pinehurst, NC, in April 2000. His wife, Judith S. DeWitt, preceded him in death in Aug. 2011. He is survived by his son, Christopher; his granddaughter, Kayley; his grandson, Riley, of Wyoming, OH; his sister-in-law, Ruth Ann DeWitt of Pittsburgh; his wife's sister, Susan Clark, and husband, Ronald, of Bethel Park; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James M. DeWitt, in 2000; and sister, Janalee, in 2024. Ed served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. Ed leaves behind his dog, Willy. There will be no viewing or memorial service.
