John Gray Obituary

John F. Gray Jr., 71, of Derry, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Latrobe, a son of the late John F. and Frances Loughner Gray Sr. John had worked in the construction business, enjoyed hunting, and held memberships to the F.O.E., the Kingston Veterans and Sportsman Club, the Greek Club, and the Derry Rod & Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Pam Gray, Nancy Louise Newhouse, and Letha Whipkey. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Bixler; son, John F. "Pete" Gray III; stepsons, Chris and Stephen Miller; brother, Larry Gray Sr.; sisters, Darlene "DeeDee" Bolen, Kerrie Gray Kershaw, and Debbie Franks; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry, where a service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025. Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery, Derry. www.mccabefuneralhomespa.com.
