Born Feb. 15, 1915, in Tarentum, he lived in the Valley all his life. An Army veteran, he served in World War II as a private first class. He was a steelworker at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Brackenridge Works before retiring in 1979 after 42 years. Mr. Kristofik was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Kensington and Lower Burrell. He enjoyed gardening and birds. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Bosak Kristofik; a son, Joseph M. Kristofik of Fawn; two daughters, Paula Kristofik of Lexington, Ky., and Martina Iseman of Harrison; five granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and a brother, John Kristofik of New Kensington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathias and Herminia Martinkovich Kristofik; two brothers, Emil and Frank Kristofik; and a sister, Mary T. Kristofik. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in RUSIEWICZ OF ARNOLD FUNERAL HOME, 1400 Fifth Ave., where a blessing service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Burial will be in Union Cemetery mausoleum, Arnold.
