Ethel Monteleone Obituary

Ethel Klanik Monteleone, 76, of Arnold, died Thursday (April 3, 2003) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Born April 4, 1926, in Brackenridge, she lived in the Valley all her life. She was a cafeteria worker at New Kensington-Arnold School District before retiring. She also worked at Bongi's Market in Arnold. Mrs. Monteleone was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barbara (David) Kalina of Lower Burrell, Mrs. Denise (Thomas) Denio of Mechanicsburg and Debbie Schreckengost of Arnold; and a sister. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, Vanessa and Zachary Kalina, Kristopher, Matthew and Nicholas Denio and Joshua and Nessa Schreckengost. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Monteleone in 1997; two grandchildren, Adam and Rebecca Denio; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Klanik. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in GIUNTA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, where a prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Pittsburgh, 11676 Perry Hwy, Suite 2104, Wexford, PA 15090.
