Joshua Durst Obituary

Joshua C. Durst, 46, of Brackenridge, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, after being ill the past six months. He was born April 22, 1979, in Hinsdale, IL, son of Keith Durst, of Tarentum, and Susan (Dailey) McIntyre, of Pittsburgh. Joshua lived the past four years in Brackenridge and, prior to that, New Kensington. He was a cook at various restaurants in the Allegheny-Kiski Valley. He enjoyed video games, the outdoors, camping, his dog and two cats, fantasy football, and especially Star Wars and all Pittsburgh sports teams. Survivors include his wife of four years, Amelia I. Durst; his siblings, Brandi (Justin) Bianco, of Pittsburgh, Noelle Otto and companion Pedro, of Michigan, and twin siblings Samantha (Ben) Nowicki, of Fawn Township, and Andrew Durst, of Tarentum. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be private.
