Linda Plonski Obituary

Linda A. (Urbanski) Plonski, 81, formerly of Tarentum, passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing in Indiana Township. Born on Oct. 12, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Ward) Urbanski. She grew up in Natrona, and was a longtime resident of Tarentum. Linda graduated from Har-Brack High School Class of 1961, and was of Catholic faith. She worked in retail at Giant Eagle, New Kensington, and the former J.C. Penney, Lower Burrell, and enjoyed being a homemaker. Linda liked playing bingo, solving puzzles, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Plonski Jannello of Apollo; her son, Matthew Plonski of Natrona Heights; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Cowen of Lower Burrell and Diana (Charles) Ramsey of Charleston, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Plonski, who passed away on Sep. 23, 2006; and her sister, Emily Knestrick. Family and friends will be received Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2 p.m.- 5:30 p.m., in the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 2 Pine St. and River Road, Natrona, where a blessing service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Sunday. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
