Lukas Anthony Booker, 28, of Leechburg, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 28, 2025. Lukas was born Feb. 1, 1997, to Maurice Booker Sr. and the late Lisa Marie Bewszka-Booker. He was a 2015 graduate of Valley High School, where he played sports and became lifelong friends with many people. He then went on to obtain an associate's degree in Smart Business Technology from Pittsburgh Technical College. Lukas became a self-taught musician at the early age of 12 and found the love of his life in his guitar. He has been in several bands over the years (Forget What They Say, Nullity) until finding his forever home with 156/Silence, playing the bass guitar. Lukas didn't just look at his band as just a band, they were his brothers. Together, 156/Silence toured all over the United States, making the last year of his life unforgettable! When not Rocking the stages across America with his band, he worked in the warehouse of the LKQ Distribution Center. He also had other work endeavors. Lukas is survived by his father, Maurice Edward Booker Sr.; and stepmother, Heather Oakes, of New Kensington. His siblings are Brittany and Robert Patrick of New Kensington, Kandice White and (Chronn) of Tarentum, Maurice Booker Jr. and (Michelle) of New Kensington, Allen and Chelsea Booker of New Kensington, Aaron White and (Sarah) of New Kensington, and Courtney Booker of New Kensington; stepbrothers, Colten Buzard, Timothy S. Oakes, Cody Machen, and Dylan Kopp; stepsisters, Kayla Greenwald, Skylar Zimmerman, and Kaitlyn Walters; maternal grandparents, Stephen and Deanna Bewzska of Apollo; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Booker of New Kensington. He also leaves behind four aunts, three uncles, 15 nephews, 13 nieces, three great-nieces, two great-nephews, and an abundance of cousins, friends, and fans. Viewing will be at 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025, and at 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held from 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him; his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness defined his essence, creating a legacy of warmth and compassion that will forever be cherished.
