Madeline DiCarolis Obituary

Madeline R. DiCarolis, 86, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was born on January 14, 1938, to the late Nicola and Mary DeFazio DiCarolis, in Arnold, where she lived her entire life. Miss DiCarolis was a helper in the kitchen for Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington for 32 years, retiring in 1997. She was a lifetime member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington, and volunteered as a guard at Roosevelt Park in Arnold for several years after her retirement from the hospital. She enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her sister, Carmella Penta; sister-in-law, Mary Ann DiCarolis; nephew Vincent J. (Alicia) DiCarolis; niece, Cindy A. (Thomas) Gaughan; and seven grandnieces and nephews; and eight great- grandnieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Vincent DiCarolis. Viewing will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until a funeral outside of Mass at 12:30 p.m. in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
