Martha B. Etter

1950 - 2025

Martha Baker "Marti" Etter, 74, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, in Scottdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Quentin Alfred and Ruth L. Beer Baker. Marti was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School and also attended Triangle Tech, where she graduated with a degree in architectural drafting. She had worked as a construction site superintendent for the Pulte Company. She was formerly a member of Trinity U.M. Church in Stahlstown. Marti liked to golf, fish, and paint pictures and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. Marti will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family: her children, Eleanore "Ellie" Wolfe and husband Todd Spargur of White, Gretchen Davis and husband Mick of Carlisle, and Philip Wolfe and Michelle Alva of Mannsville, NY; her grandchildren, Tyra Hosfelt, Kendra Hosfelt, Holden Davis, McKlean Davis, and Sarah Wolfe; her great-grandchildren, Ava and Maverick Yeingst; her siblings, Margaret Sanner of Stahlstown, Roy T. Baker and wife Elizabeth of Mountain Top, Mary Ellen Davis and husband Doug of Ruffsdale, Robert C. Baker of Stahlstown, Phillip J. Baker and wife Sam of Mt. Pleasant, and William Baker and wife Valerie of Champion; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marti was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer "Skip" Wolfe; her sisters, Jean Ann McIlnay and Karen L. Hefner; and her brother, Quentin Arthur Baker. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Stahlstown Cemetery.
