Michael J. Conklin-Mascara IV, of Lower Burrell, infant son of Chelsea Conklin, of Lower Burrell, and Michael J. Mascara III, of Tarentum, died Monday, April 30, 2007, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Though only here for such a short time, little Michael was loved and will be missed. He was born April 27, 2007, in Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by stepbrother, Austin Short, of New Kensington; maternal grandmother, Lisa Dixon, of Lower Burrell; maternal grandfather, Lawrence Conklin, of Lower Burrell; paternal grandparents, Susan and Mike Mascara Jr., of Tarentum; great-maternal grandmother, Patricia Dixon, of Lower Burrell; great-maternal grandparents, James (Darlene) Dixon Sr., of New Kensington; maternal great-grandparents, Lawrence (Alice) Conklin, of Renton; maternal great-grandmother, Marge Deiseroth, of Lower Burrell; uncles, Nicholas Dixon, of Lower Burrell, Christopher and Branden Mascara, of Tarentum, Samuel Conklin, of Lower Burrell, and Damian Conklin, of Montana; four aunts, Amber Mascara, of North Carolina, Crystal Conklin, of Montana, Lauren and Angelina Conklin, of Lower Burrell; great-uncle, James Dixon Jr., of Leechburg; and numerous other aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Geraldine and Michael Mascara Sr.; great-grandparents, Donald and Evelyn Kinsey; and an uncle, Eric Mascara, in 1991 at 14 days old. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Thursday in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, a service oriented funeral home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068, 724-337-3325. The Rev. Harold Mele, Evangelical minister of the Meadows Christian Community Church, 39 Elana Dr., Lower Burrell, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
