Michael Lezark Obituary

Michael William Lezark, 66, of Lower Burrell, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, in his home. He was born in Charleroi on Sept. 15, 1958, to the late Emery W. Lezark and Donna Jean Knepshield Lezark Shirley and has been a resident of Lower Burrell since 1986 and had previously resided in Gilpin Township and Apollo. Mr. Lezark worked in construction management and was the owner/operator of MLezark CMS, LLC. He worked in retail construction project management for CBRE and Skye Development Services in retail complex development across the country. He had also worked in residential home design and construction. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell; National Association of Home Builders; Pennsylvania Builders Association; Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh; Westmoreland Professional Builders Association; International Code Council; National Trust for Historic Preservation; and was a 32nd Degree Freemason. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh sports teams, attending concerts, and traveling, but above all else, his family was his top priority, and he especially loved spending time with his wife, his three girls, and his grandchildren. Whether it was a BBQ in the backyard, going on trips to the Strip District, or carrying the bags during many shopping trips, he was never happier than when he was with them. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Eva J. Widmer Lezark; three daughters, Sunny (Luke) Lecnar of Lower Burrell, Angel Lezark of Pittsburgh, and Maria Lezark of Lower Burrell; and four grandchildren, Leah and Christopher Traficante and Liam and Everly Lecnar. Sister, Terri (Michael) Barto of Spring Church; and two brothers, Bob (Karen) Lezark of Vandergrift, and Jeff (Laurie) Lezark of Oakmont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lester Shirley. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The family suggests donations made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. www.RusiewiczFH.com
