With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Michelle Lyn Kunkle, 42, of Arizona, formerly of Vandergrift, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Michelle was a deeply loved mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and a friend to many. Her warmth, love, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Michelle had a kind heart and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. She loved a beautiful view and found peace in nature. She was loving and compassionate to all those close to her. We take comfort in knowing that she gave her life to Jesus and is now resting in His loving arms, finally reunited with her mother, whom she missed so dearly. Michelle is survived by her daughter, Tinesha Brelyn (Tanner) Michael; her son, Isaiah J. Shellhammer; and her beautiful granddaughter, Remi Grace. She is also survived by her siblings, David (Allison) Kunkle, Tamerra (Donovan) Briggs, Ashley (Kelvin) Mason, Alesha (Brett) McConnville, Danielle Thompson, Britney Myers, Jeremy Myers, and Jacob (Megan) Myers. Michelle is preceded in death by her loving parents, Derrick Kunkle and Karen Myers. A memorial service to honor Michelle's life will be held at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Generations House of Worship in Brackenridge. A private burial will follow in Colorado, a place Michelle loved to visit. Michelle's legacy of love and compassion will live on through her family and friends, and she will be forever in our heart.
