Nancy Shremshock Obituary

Nancy J. (Hiles) Shremshock, 63, of Lower Burrell, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2022. Nancy was born Aug. 2, 1959, in New Kensington, to the late Jack and Patricia Hiles, of Lower Burrell. She lived her whole life in Lower Burrell. Nancy was a 1977 Burrell High School graduate. Nancy was a longtime employee of Hills and JC Penney department stores, where she made many friends over the years. She kept close friendships with many childhood friends throughout her lifetime. She was a generous and thoughtful person with a remarkable memory of special dates and had a knack for gift-giving. Nancy enjoyed her bus trips with her sister and friends, as well as many walks around the neighborhood. Nancy spent her life as a friend to all animals and a steward of the earth. Nancy was a dedicated member of the Burrellton Garden Club, contributing many hours to the gardens in the various Lower Burrell parks. Her home gardens were a joy to her neighbors, friends and family. She was always ready to share and rescue plants. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Patricia Hiles. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Andy Shremshock; her sister, Ruth (Bill) Lee, of Lower Burrell; brothers, Dennis (Carol) Hiles, of Brockway, Pa., Mark (Vera) Hiles, of Shelocta, and Eric (Charlene) Hiles, of Lower Burrell. She is also survived by her much loved pets, Rudy, Button and Barney. Nancy was very loved and will be missed by many. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Harold Mele. Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Dear Andy and The Hiles Family, My heart is broken as I know yours are too in the loss of Nancy. I was blessed to call her my best friend. She was the kindest, most generous person I ever met. I have so many wonderful memories of all the times we spent together. I´m sure she is tending to a beautiful garden in heaven. May she Rest In Peace. I will keep you all in my prayers.
