Patricia Ann (German) Carter, Kober, Slye passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, minus any great fanfare and very unlike the massive ice storm she slid in on in Kane, PA on March 23, 1936. Her parents, who preceded her in death were Ronald T. and Patricia S. German of Smethport, PA. That's located up in God's country, in case you aren't familiar with northern Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Harold "Bucky' German, her husband, Milo Slye and her two sons, Michael Dennis Carter and David Patrick Carter. She held a Bachelor's in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA and a Master's in Journalism & Communications from Point Park, Pittsburgh, PA. Earning her degrees when she was in her 40's and 50's demonstrated her desire to accomplish as much as she could in her mid-life years. For Patricia, her major accomplishments had nothing to do with where she worked or what she did. Rather, she was proudest of raising her sons. She was also astonished when she found she could learn to fly a single engine plane. Her other great achievements included writing and publishing six inspirational non-fiction books under the pen name of 'Ageless Sage' after she was 75. One of her greatest joys in live involved music, and it included singing in every choir she could be part of or playing musical instruments. These included French horn, electric organ, Djembe and steel pan drums. Despite her share of woes that life showers down on all of us, Patricia walked in the sunshine, laughter and love of family and friends. She felt it was important to share all the hugs possible with those you loved. No once could surpass her love for flowers. There were her favorite gift to give and receive. She so enjoyed taking her grandchildren different places and just spending time with them as they were growing up. She is survived by grandchildren Michael (Ali), Sheri, Seth, and James Carter, Beth Wilson, Noel (Chris) Hunter, Lauren Hidinger and Haley (Paul) Wulff. Also, great-Grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sammy, Elizabeth Rose, Airianna, Dennis, James, Elliana, Railley, Amber, Chuck, Aster and Christian. In addition, she is survived by her late husband Milo's children, David, Susan and Bill (Chris Ann) Slye, as well as several nieces and nephews. SNYDER'S FUNERAL HOME, Irwin, PA is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation and interment will be private. A date for a memorial gathering will be announced at a later time.
