Pearl Sendry Obituary

Pearl (Szaday) Sendry, 96, of Leechburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in her home. Born March 16, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Szaday and Elizabeth (Horvath) Szaday. Pearl was a graduate of Rayen High School in Youngstown, and lived in Leechburg for the last 65 years. She was a member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, formerly known as Gray Stone Presbyterian Church. Pearl was married to Andrew T. Sendry Sr., who died Jan. 26, 2011. Andrew and Pearl celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Jan. 18, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew T. Sendry III; and a sister, Elizabeth Toth. Pearl is survived by her son, Andrew T. (Diane) Sendry Jr., of Davidsville, Pa.; daughter, Andrea E. Sendry, of Leechburg; granddaughter, Lori (James) Pierce, of Indiana; great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Sarah Pierce, of Indiana; and a niece, Elizabeth Pennington, of Virginia Beach, Va.
At Pearl's request, all services are private and have been entrusted to the CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, Leechburg. Private services will be officiated by Pastors Gary and Lisa Lyon. Interment will take place in Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.
