Richard A. Roach Sr.

1937 - 2022

Richard A. Roach Sr., 84, passed Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. He was born May 10, 1937, in Houtzdale, to the late Earl and Gladys (Thompson) Roach. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 loving years, Mary (Megrenne) Roach. Father of Richard Roach Jr. and Cheryl (Scott) Thompson; grandfather of Richelle Roach; great-grandfather of Jaxon; brother of Larry Roach, Chuck (Jan) Roach, Judy (Rich) Kern, Sandy (John) Bennison and the late Ida, Pauline, Sarah, Will, Russ, Kay, and Karen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Richard was a dedicated driver for Pittsburgh Port Authority and later drove out of state bus tours. He found great joy shuttling passengers across the country to view many beautiful sites. In his spare time, you would find Richard playing golf or watching the Steelers on Sunday.
