Richard Schuessler Obituary

Richard D. "Shoe" Schuessler, 69, of Jenks Township, Forest County, formerly of Curtisville West Deer Township, died peacefully at home with his family by his side Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022. He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Pittsburgh, to the late Richard G. and Virginia (Galvin) Schuessler. Rich grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Fox Chapel. He was a truck driver for over 40 years for Beaver Steel Co. Prior to that, he drove for J. Allen Steel Co., and also for Camron Coca-Cola. Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the Pittsburgh Steelers and most of all, loved his family. Survivors include his wife, Deborah L. (Nicholson) Schuessler; daughters, Tina M. (Paul) Fritch, of Frazer Township and Melanie (Kevin) Wisneski, of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Anna Fritch, of Pittsburgh, Corey Chelko, of Cabot, Debbie Fritch, of Ross Township, Dylan Chelko, of Clinton, and Emma Fritch, of Frazer; his sister, Donna LaGamba, of Indiana Township, and his godson and name sake, Little Rich Schuessler, of Hampton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Daniel Schuessler; and his sister, Nancy Tejchman. Friends received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where a funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. with the Rev.
