Robert Bloom Obituary

Robert H. Bloom, 65, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025. He was born Dec. 29, 1959, in Greensburg, a son of the late Donald W. Bloom Sr. and Mary Isabel Henderson Bloom, of Greensburg. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, Lodge 225 F&AM, and a 33-year member of the Greensburg Rotary Club, where he was currently serving as secretary. Bob was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation. Prior to retirement, Bob worked at the Bair Insurance Group, in Irwin. For 30 years, he owned and operated the Robert H. Bloom Insurance Agency in Greensburg as an agent with the Nationwide Insurance Company. Prior to being in business for himself, he was employed by the James H. Harrold agency. In his youth, he worked for the family business, Henderson's Greenhouse. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Barbara E. Bloom, with whom he loved to travel; a son, Matthew R. (Deena) Bloom of Dayton, OH; a daughter, Amanda L. (Michael) Kozain of Latrobe; a step-daughter, Amanda (John) Page; a step-son, Daniel Tucci; grandchildren, Avery J. Bloom, Charlotte B. Bloom, Carleigh M. Kozain, and Camden Kozain; step-granddaughters, Chloe Hightower and Elena Page; a brother, Donald W. Bloom Jr.; a sister, Rebecca Pennington; a niece; and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at First United Methodist Church, 15 E. Second St., Greensburg. Everyone please go directly to the church. Private interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church or to the Rotary Club of Greensburg, 505 E.
