Scott Richard Gabrish, 37, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of New Kensington, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born Sept. 28, 1984, in New Kensington, the son of Richard and Lisa Marie Bowser Gabrish, of New Kensington. He had been a resident of Hilliard for the past 12 years after moving from New Kensington. Scott worked as a pharmacist and was a member of St. Brendan Church, Hilliard, Ohio, and grew up a member of Mount St. Peter Church, New Kensington. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking, watching movies and following the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He loved his children very much and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two children, Santino David Gabrish and Rosie Lynn Gabrish; brother, Derek (Leanne Weiss) Gabrish, of Jersey City, N.J.; mother of his children, Laura Popovich; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stella and Henry Gabrish; maternal grandparents, Rose and Ronald Bowser; aunt, Linda Bowser; and godmother, Terri Albanese. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF ARNOLD FUNERAL HOME, 1400 Fifth Ave. at 14th Street, 15068, where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, New Kensington.
