Suzanne Eshenbaugh Obituary

Suzanne Eshenbaugh, 63, of Winfield Township, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, while in the company of family in the hospice of AVH in Natrona Heights. Suzanne was born in New Kensington on March 15, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Joanne S. (Schlegel) and Gene T. Showers. Suzanne was a 1973 graduate of Freeport Area High School. She was a 1975 graduate of Allegheny County Community College, where she received her licensed practical nurse degree. Suzanne worked as an LPN at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 22 years. Suzanne had also worked as an LPN at Saxony Health Center for a number of years. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. Suzanne enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and was an avid seamstress, making clothing for her family. Suzanne is survived by her husband of 42 years, Daniel J. Eshenbaugh; her two sons, Stephen and Amanda Eshenbaugh, of Mountain Top, Pa., and Jacob and Megan Eshenbaugh, of Jefferson Township; and her daughter, Sarah Eshenbaugh, of Winfield Township. Suzanne is also survived by her six grandchildren, Daniel, Shane, Josephine, Makenna, Alora and Samaira Eshenbaugh; her two sisters, Mary Anne and Tim Ray, of Leechburg, and Rebecca and Jeff Bair, of Cabot; her brother, Thomas and Debbie Showers, of Freeport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 26, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St. in Freeport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, with Father Mark Pattock, OFM Cap, officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Freeport.

I worked with Susie at AVH on 2d in the 80's and 90's. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. We lost a good girl.

So sorry, I worked with Susie and she always worked as a "team". She showed kindness and genuine concern for her patients. I will always have good memories of her and she will be sadly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and her friends.
