Thomas A. Mialki

Thomas Anthony Mialki, 80, passed away on Nov. 15, 2024, in Hartly, DE. Born on Oct. 18, 1944, Tom graduated from Har-Brack in 1963 and proudly served in the Air Force for four years. He dedicated 32 years as an aircraft mechanic, a career marked by meticulous skill and dedication. Tom was a devout member of the Catholic faith, embodying its values in his everyday life. He was a serious, humble man with a subtle sense of humor, reserved for those he held dear. His early years were spent tinkering on cars with his brothers and playing football, which showcased his teamwork and mechanical prowess from a young age. A lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing, Tom enjoyed these pastimes with his beloved dogs, Cole or Murphy, by his side. He held a special affection for pets, always ensuring a dog was part of his family and daily life. Tom is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Lorraine Neal; daughter, Michelle Roenigk; step-daughters, Terah Neal and Christina (JR) Goins; grandsons, Joseph and Matthew (Michaela) Roenigk; four additional grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Joyce) Mialki, Patricia (Dom) Palermo, Gene (Jackie) Mialki, and David Swick; along with many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Pawlak Swiklinski. Funeral arrangements will take place in Delaware. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to veterans' organizations in honor of Tom's service and commitment to his fellow servicemen and women. Tom's legacy of quiet strength, loyalty, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
