Victor Trozzi Obituary

Victor O. Trozzi, 87, of North Apollo, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. He was born July 30, 1920, in Vandergrift, a son of the late Frank and Carmella (LeDonne) Trozzi, and had lived in Vandergrift and North Apollo all of his life. Until his retirement in 1980, he was employed by U.S. Steel in Vandergrift for 40 years as a purchasing clerk. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was a technical sergeant serving in Okinowa, Japan, and Korea. He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, and the American Legion, Vandergrift. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rennie and Samuel Trozzi; and two sisters, Frances Gizzi and Ernestine Marsh. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Domitilla (Livrone) Trozzi, of North Apollo; son, Ronald James (Laurie) Trozzi, of Columbia, Md.; and two stepgrandchildren, William and Taylor Duval. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, with Father John T. Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
