Wendy (Moore) Shellhammer, 72, of North Apollo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born on July 9, 1952, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of the late Dale E. Moore and C. Bernice (Bence) Moore. Wendy was a 1970 graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech, where she earned her beautician license. She practiced her craft on friends and family wherever the U.S. Navy life led her. Married to Ralph Shellhammer for 53 wonderful years, Wendy devoted herself to raising their children and caring for the grandchildren. She loved spending time at the family camp, sewing, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Paul Shellhammer, who passed away on April 11, 2024; and her sister, Pam Rametta. Wendy is survived by her daughters, Kaley S. (Tim) Zundel of Beaver Falls and Heather L. Holmes of Erie; son, Brandon P. (Michelle) Shellhammer of New Castle; grandchildren, Brendan (Katie) Shellhammer, Kyra Shellhammer, Ariel (Brendan) Cruzan, and Lyla Zundel; great-grandchild, Gage Cruzan; brother, Timothy (Kathy) Moore; brother-in-law, Dan (Mary) Shellhammer; and many nieces and nephews. Wendy's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, with Pastor Jason Martin officiating. Following the service, the family warmly invites all attendees to join them for a meal in Wendy's honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wendy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
