William Caugherty Obituary

William C. Caugherty, 53, of Brackenridge, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home, after being ill for the past 14 months. He was born Aug. 8, 1954, in Natrona Heights, son of the late William and Dorla (Gablick) Caugherty. For the past 11 years, he lived in Brackenridge, and prior to that he resided in Saxonburg for 10 years. He was employed as a laborer by Kensington Window Company, Vandergrift, for 30 years. He was Methodist by faith, and graduated from Highlands High School in 1973. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed old TV shows, flea markets, football, basketball and WWE wrestling. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen A. (Wueschinski) Caugherty; sons, William G.R. Caugherty, of Erie, and Daniel C. Caugherty, at home; and brother, Mark (Linda) Caugherty, of Brackenridge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Loretta Caugherty, in 1992. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
