ADAM BEATTY Obituary

Adam Ellis Beatty Adam is made whole again. He left us peacefully Sunday, July 26. For seven years he fought with intention. Each day he did live strongNin purpose and in his faith. Not once did he choose to let an opportunity pass by whether it was to cross the country for an experimental treatment or take his jeep to Elbe to plow through a new snowfall. He looks forward to the day when we can be together again, whole, complete, rejoicing not only in our Lord's love, but His Presence. Those who knew him remember his wonderful and infectious smile, his willingness to help someone in need, and especially his willingness to just listen. He loved working on his trucks with his brother Matt and friend Sven. Matt and Adam built several big trucks and booming sound systems. He was more than just a typical big brother for his sister Annie, always giving her advice and offering counsel. They spent a lot of time together being at home and taking drives, always talking with each other. New phones were a passion. He loved target practice at the firing range. Whether in a hospital in Boston, or confined to bed at home, texting let him be connected with friends and family. He found a passion working at Cascade Offroad. Adam was born in Puyallup, Washington, on March 23, 1983. He graduated from Bethel High School and Pierce College. He did not fight alone. At his side each day were his mother and father, Bobbie and Wyley Beatty, brother Matt Beatty, sister Annie Beatty; grandmothers Mamie Wong and Bea Beatty; aunts and uncles, Jackie and Laddy Kite, Mike Wong, Tim and Becky Wong, Eva and John Mitchell, Sally Barto, Becky Beatty, Jenny Kramer, and John and Carla Stratfold; cousins Abbie and Lauren Kite, Erik Wong, Natalie and Ryan Wong, David Wescott, Sarah and JP Aebersold, Tyler Abersold, Isaac and Noah Stratfold. Also, many, many other relatives, friends, former teachers, and neighbors lifted Adam with their prayers and their presence. Adam was especially proud of the support they showed at the annual Dragonslayer Sarcoma Bike, Trike, and Hike fundraiser and treasured pictures from those events. We thank each of those persons. Services will be Sunday, August 2, at Graham Emmanuel Baptist Church, 22316 106th Ave E, Graham, Washington 98338 at 4 p. m. Memorials can be sent to the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation, 2065 NW Miller Rd., #404, Portland, OR 97229 or through nwsarcoma.org

Dear Beatty Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. My husband and I met Adam in the Spring of 2006 at Cascade Offroad. My husband felt an instant connection with Adam. At that time my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Adam was so courageous and strong, you never would have guessed how much pain and suffering he was going through. He will be missed.

I just found out about Adam today, and am truely saddened by the news. Adam and I became good friends while working at Cascade Offroad, and in the past couple years have enjoyed the times we've spent talking about and working on Jeeps and Toyotas, both at work and at our houses. Adam always had a great sense of humor, and his spirit and attitude are an inspiration.

Adam will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Wyley, Bobbie, Matt, Annie, Eva, John, Carla, John, and Family, What a special privilege it was for me and Brittany to be able to share together with all of you and your many friends on Sunday the beautiful celebration of dear Adam's incredible Life, as it has been our great privilege to have had the opportunity and joy of meeting him and all of you during the past seven years of our shared journey with this insidious disease. Throughout this difficult journey, our families have shared together the joyous victories, the heartbreaking defeats, the roller coaster ups and down, and the ongoing Hope of one day defeating our common ASPS adversary. Although dear Adam's young body was unable to overcome the ravages of his relentless disease, his courageous, strong, and invincible spirit truly won the battle and he is now free of the disease and all of the suffering and pain which he endured. In his memory, and with the legacy of his unwavering determination and courage inspiring us, and his bright spirit guiding us, we will continue the battle. Thank you for sharing him with us, for allowing us to come to know him and your family better through the treasureful memories-in- pictures slide presentation at the memorial service, and for letting us be a part of this beautiful celebration of, and tribute to, Adam and his well Lived Life. As Brittany and I drove Home from Adam's celebration on Sunday evening, the sun was beginning to set and the sky was ablaze with a celestial palette of beautiful color. We couldn't help but think that this Heavenly sunset was a message from Adam that although his Life here on Earth has ended, his radiant and beautiful spirit is still alive and now shines from above.
Your family is truly a portrait of what love should be, and what love can do, and certainly all that love could do was done. May the love that you all share strengthen and sustain you through your grief and sorrow, and may happy memories shared together through Adam's 26 precious years bring comfort to your aching hearts. Please know that we are here for you to help in any way that we can, knowing and understanding more than most the immense pain and profound sorrow that you bear, and so deeply sharing it with you.
Holding you all very close in our hearts, and reaching out to embrace you with our deepest caring, warm friendship, and love,
Bonni Hess, on behalf of all of our Hess Family

Dear Beatty family,

I can remember riding my three wheeler to your house as a kid, feeling safely sheltered there when things were unstable in my life. You all were so wonderful to my family in our time of need, letting my brother and I stay with you. I had heard that Adam was fighting sarcoma and I have prayed for him and your family. I am living in Oregon, have been married for five years and my husband and I are expecting our first child. My brother and his fiance have two kids and one more on the way. I am truly sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories of your family, and I know that Adam surely had the best support. My prayers for peace and comfort in knowing that the day will come when we will all be swept up in the clouds with our King and our loved ones, when all pain and sorrow will cease.

Beatty Family,

I was just informed about Adam this morning, I am crushed. Adam and I used to talk daily on the phone for hours in Jr. High. I've thought about him every day since then. I am truly broken hearted and my heart and thoughts are with you. I love Adam with all my heart.
With Love,

His friendliness and kindness toward me during high school as well as after, will always be with me. Beatty Family,
Knowing Adam for the last 20 years has truly been a blessing to me, even though the past 8 are the most memorable ones. Adam and I would always go back and forth with wanting to trade our jeeps and toyotas. I guess we thought the others was cooler. :) I always looked up to Adam for just how much strength he had, always having such a great attitude never wanting you to feel sorry for him. Not only him, but also your entire family for how strong you all were together. You all are so wonderful. Adam couldn't have had a better family to go through his fight. Thank you to all of you for all your wonderful support and love that you gave him. I know how much you all mean to him. I know he will be waiting patiently for all of us to join him in beautiful heaven.

Bobbie, Wyley & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss and for the countless days of pain that this sarcoma brought to Adam and your family. You have all fought the good fight and continued to stay firm in your faith. Because of your faith, you can draw upon the assurrances of His promises and rest in His care. And you have the many memories of the special relationships and time that you had with this special, young man. We can rejoice that Adam is fully healed and can now be found walking on streets of gold. May God bathe each one of you in His love and care.
