ALBIN SCHNEIDER

Albin K. Schneider Of Fife, WA, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on December 2, 2013, at Tacoma General Hospital, surrounded by family. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Albin was born on November 28, 1930, in Holyoke, Colorado, to Frank and Mina Schneider. He attended and graduated from Venango High School in Venango, Nebraska, where he enjoyed playing varsity basketball. He served eight and a half years in the Air Force before retiring from a service related disability. Albin was stationed at Tachikawa Air Force Base in Japan where he met and married his bride, Miyoko in 1954. After returning to the United States, he and Miyoko ran several businesses together. His most recent work was in sales in the Tacoma area. Over the years, Albin enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf with his family and friends, as well as taking his grandson to Seattle Sonics and Mariner games. He always showed a love for his family and a great sense of humor in all things. Albin was proud to serve his country and a proud member of the American Legion Post 67 in Puyallup, WA. Albin is preceded in death by his brothers Ivan and Delbert and his son-in-law Dann Immel. He is survived by his wife, Miyoko Schneider of Fife, WA, sons Frank Schneider of Maple Valley, WA, Daniel Schneider of Federal Way, WA, daughter Nancy Immel of Gig Harbor, WA, daughters-in-law Francine and Michelle Schneider, sister Loneta Girard of Ocala, FL, grandson Brian Immel of Seattle, WA, and several nieces and nephews. Inurnment Jahn & Sons, Auburn, WA, with family services and interment held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, Wednesday, December 18th, at 2:15PM.
