He was a kind man and always had a big smile for everyone. I often stopped and visited him on my morning walks along No. Harbview Drive.

Very sad for the Bucholz family. A am just now seeing this as I live outside the area. Al was a great guy and always very kind to me. Hung around the marina as a kid and he was always very welcoming when he could have shooed me away as a pesky kid. Worked for him at Tiderunner during the summer and some breaks while at college. Tough but always fair boss. My thoughts are with the Bucholz family.

It's hard to remember the world without Al in it, for nearly 60 years. Al was always the youngest, most vital adult for his age around. He was talented, thoughtful, kind, and humble. One of the Greatest Generation, a warrior who got to come home; and even when I was young, I knew he was honoring that return with his life, a role model to family, friends and community. (I also knew it would be a really, really bad idea to touch the Porsche or any of his cars, whether he was around or not.) My heartfelt condolences to Jeff and Sue and the whole family.

I am so sorry to hear this, losing a loved one is never easy, but our loving God promises to give the strength and courage you'll need to endure, and to cope with the pain of your loss. He also promises to hold your hand every step of the way. (Isaiah 40:29, 41:10, 13) May loving memories also sustain your family during this difficult time. With heartfelt sympathy, your neighbor, Ann Smith.

Allan accomplished a great many things for which he no doubt was proud. Perhaps the top of that list is the significant influence he had on shaping the lives of the three generations of GREAT family that followed him. (I really liked my Tiderunner boat too!! Well done, Allan.)
