Audrey McKnight Obituary

Audrey was born in a Methodist parsonage in Rock Branch, Iowa on February 20, 1920.

She was the second of eight children. She spent sixteen years in Colorado, and then the family moved to Tacoma where she graduated from Stadium High School in 1938. She attended what is now the University of Puget Sound and later graduated from the University of Washington.

On October 4, 1942, she married Richard McKnight. In Bremerton, they raised two children: John McKnight and Susan Ingman. She served as Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Chapter President multiple times and held other offices, where she made a life time commitment of seventy-seven years to "...sisterly love...". Audrey become Director of Home and Family Life and Early Childhood Education at Olympic College. She traveled around the world from China, India, Nepal, Australia, Figi, and Europe. Later in life she moved near Point Defiance Park, and was a member of the Mason United Methodist Chruch in Tacoma for more than twenty-five years, where her Memorial Service will be held on October 4th, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
