Barbara Danielsen Obituary

Barbara Danielsen
June 18, 1935 - July 17, 2021
Steilacoom, Washington - Barbara June Danielsen, 86, of Steilacoom, Washington passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2021. Barbara was born in Mason City, Iowa where she later met and married her high school sweetheart, Donald Danielsen, also of Iowa. Barbara and Donald "drove out west" and settled together in the Tacoma area to start a family in the 50's. Barbara was eternally close to Donald, and happily married for over 67 years. In fact, Donald's passing last November was more than likely the true cause of Barbara's death. To coexist to this degree is a remarkable devotion and demonstration of character and love – thank you Barbara. Barbara is survived by her brother, Ed Gorham of Tacoma, WA, her daughter Debby Edwards of Marietta, GA, her son Michael Danielsen of Vashon Island, WA, five grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson. Barbara is preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Stearns and Mary Barfield. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, Monday, August 16, 2021, 3:30 PM.
