Brittane Dawn Schmidt June 15, 1993 - March 28, 2011 Brittane Dawn Schmidt was born June 15, 1993 in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away at Children's Hospital in Seattle on March 28, 2011. Brittane came to this earth as a high spirited angel and departed as a high spirited angel. She is now in heaven watching over her father Jon, mother Dawn, sister Justine, and brother Leroy. She also leaves a large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends. Brittane was loved by many people and she touched the hearts of many people in so many ways. She lived in Tacoma all of her life except for a short time in Spokane, WA. In Britttane's short time on this earth, she was an example of patience, courage, faith and strength as she faced many surgeries, dialysis, and illnesses without complaining. She brought light and laughter to those around her with her sweet innocence, and wisdom, and could solve anyone's problems with simple logic. She was an extremely happy, loving girl. Brittane loved Care Bears, and had a large collection of them, with her favorite being Tenderheart, who stayed by her side. She always had a giant cheesy smile, we called the "Brittane Smile". Brittane always made sure that everyone came first before herself. She loved everyone that came into her life, and she will be missed by so many. She was one of those sweet spirits that everyone loved. She is now in a better place and no longer in pain. She is perfect now. We love you, Brittane. The family wishes to thank all those who helped Brittane throughout her life, especially the doctors, nurses and staff at Children's hospital, her special teachers, and tutors, and all those who helped care for her when she was at home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on April 9th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7520 25th Ave E. Tacoma, WA.
