Orting, Washington - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Dolores Marie Godwin-Lynch (nee Frederick) on 6/3/2025 in Puyallup WA. She was 89 years old & resided in Orting WA. She was born on 9/21/1935 in Devils Lake ND. She was an enrolled member of the Turtle Mt Band of Chippewa Indians of Belcourt ND. In 1953 she married Bobby J Godwin Sr who was in the US Army stationed at Ft Lewis WA. They raised 7 children, the eldest is Charlene Roberts, Marquetta (Bob) Ramirez, Bobby Jr (Regina) Godwin, Michael (Veronica) Godwin, Chris Godwin, & Anthony Godwin. She was preceded in death by a daughter Dolores Leigh Godwin. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M Lynch. They were married in 1985. Her final resting place will be with Kenneth at the Tahoma National Cemetary in Covington WA.

To my cousins, I send you my love. I remember being a little kid and you guys would come from somewhere in America in your VW Bus. I was always so excited to see you. My Aunt Dody driving. She was always so adventurous.
My Mom and all my aunts could sing but aunt Dody could play just about any instrument. You guys all could too. I was so envious.
Years later I would be playing in some hole in the wall club and she would show up. Her and Ken, sometimes uncle Rod would be with them. She was always so good to us, Positive, Happy, enjoying life. I know how hard their life was but you couldn't tell by her.
Please know your Mom is special to us all. We miss her.
