DOLORES LANCE

Dolores Lance Age 75, of Gig Harbor, passed away June 4, 2015. She was born November 6, 1939 in Dunellen, New Jersey. She was the only and much-loved child of Irma and Walter Diehl. Dolores graduated Dunellen High School in 1957 and joined the United States Air Force. After her service, Dolores became a reservationist for Braniff airways. She married Don M. Lance II in 1964. The couple moved from Texas to Minnesota, where their two children were born. When Don began a career as a pilot for NW Airlines, Dolores became a homemaker. The family settled in Gig Harbor, Washington. Her parents joined them in Gig Harbor. Dolores was happily married for 31 years until the death of her husband in 1995. Dolores will be remembered as the best mom ever by her two surviving children, Don and Lisa Lance of Gig Harbor, Washington. She attended a celebration of her life in May, in lieu of a memorial. A graveside service, for family members only, was held at Haven of Rest, in Gig Harbor, Washington.
