Tacoma, Washington - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen X Ferguson, who departed this life on December 28, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 17, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington, Doreen was the cherished daughter of Willie O'Neal Ferguson and Richard Ferguson. She was a devoted sister to her older brother Dr. Richard Ferguson jr. and younger sister Dian Ferguson, MPA. Above all else, Doreen's greatest joy in life was her son, Isaiah Ferguson, who held her heart from the moment he was born. Her love for him was boundless and unwavering. Doreen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her celebration of life will be held January 30th, 10:00am. at Mountain View Funeral Home.

I meet Doreen when her son was about 5 or 6 years old. I would go over to her house to visit. We had good conversations and fun laughs. I would visit with Doreen to she how she was doing. She is going to be missed.

50 plus years of friendship and love.
Doreen, as I reflect on our friendship I realized that I´ve always loved you. Your caring and sweet nature was infectious. Your concern about how the community was doing and what you could do to help make their lifes more fulfilled brought purpose to you.
Your love for Isaiah and insuring what was best for him made you the perfect mom.
Our talks were always uplifting, positive and filled with plenty of laughter. I´ll miss those talks.
You had a positive approach to life, no matter what was going on. Your positivity impacted many lives, me being one of them.
Thank you.
So until we meet again,
rest peacefully in the arms of the almighty.
