We met George a few months ago at the Labor Day picnic. A warm man, dedicated to his job as councilman, he asked us for help with his campaign. We were more than happy to support a man of such character. Such a loss to those who admired him. Didn't take us long to join that group. Puyallup has lost a leader and we have lost a friend.

George was a friend but most of all a good neighbor. Having to go through heart surgery George helped me through some difficult times such as taking me for doctor appointments when I couldn't drive and always checking up on me during my recovery. He was a very special person and I will miss him.

I'm so sorry to hear of George's passing. I worked in Pierce College's Occupational Education Dept for many of the years that George was there, and I enjoyed his humor and wisdom. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
