GEORGE HECK Obituary

George J. Heck Was born in Mandan, ND on June 12, 1945. He became a bricklayer in ND in 1965, then transferred and worked out of Seattle Local #1 from 1968 until retiring in 2000. For several years George owned and operated his own business, D & G Masonry. George enjoyed playing and coaching men's softball, hunting, and fishing. George is survived by his wife Darlene of 53 years; daughter Debby (Dave) Gosk; granddaughters Nicole (Manny) Lambert and Alicia Smith; step-grandchildren Chelsea Gosk, Charles Gosk, and Canaan Gosk; 3 step-great-grandchildren, and sister Rosella White. George was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mabel (Stuhldreher) Heck, brothers Robert, Fred, Duane, Kenneth, and Richard Heck, and son Gerald Heck. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 714 E. 138th Street, Tacoma, WA. Viewing will be 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Fir Lane Memorial Park, 924 E. 176th Street, Spanaway, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkway Presbyterian Church.
