Helen was passionate about life, family and the world around us. I learned a lot from her and will always remember her kind and gentle soul but also her incredible strength and charisma that made her so successful in all of her endeavors. I will truly miss our conversations and all of her help.

Her loving spirit and clear vision encouraged everyone to be their "best version". She loved well and nothing can separate us from love.

Like the gardens that she surrounded herself with, Helen was a sanctuary, a peace-bearer. It was always a delight to talk with her - about anything, because she was well-informed without being opinionated, knowledgeable yet ready to learn. She was a teacher by nature, and her life had an immeasurable impact on our world, including all of us who were fortunate enough to walk a bit of life's path with, near or behind her.

Helen treated everyone around her as a member of her family, and welcomed them into her home while reminding us that we all shared a much larger home, which required our protection and love. She gave equal attention to the smallest and largest things. Her life taught the rest of us how to work together for as long as it takes to improve the communities and land in which we live.

A beautiful person, inside and out who devoted her life to her family, her community and to interests that made the world a better place. She will be missed, but not forgotten for her many personal and professional contributions.
