Jack Crispin Obituary

Jack L. Crispin God graced Jack with his final journey home on September 27, 2008. His lifetime was filled with accomplishment, adventures, loves and friendships. His biggest joy was the gift of himself to others across this beautiful country of ours in ways only Jack knew how. His talented mind, genuine heart, strong comforting hands, unforgettable spirit and contagious laughter (cackle) enriched all of our lives and he showed us how to live each day as though it was the last. Jack is survived by his loving wife Nadine of Tacoma, children: Jeremy (wife Brandi, children, Alexis and Allison), Lacy Sanders (husband Matt, children Samantha and Dylan), Derrick (children Kaitlynn and Parker all residents of SLC, Utah, Ashley (son Aiden) and Tyler of Tacoma; parents Billie and John Heseltine of Sandy, Ut; brothers Shaun Heseltine and Chad Heseltine of Utah as well as well as 13 special nieces and nephews in Washington and Utah. Jack leaves behind precious friends that he cherished and loved dearly and associates from coast to coast that he greatly admired. A viewing was held Thursday, Oct. 2nd, 2008. Please join us at his Celebration of Life Party on Saturday, Oct. 4th beginning at noon at the Berg residence, Tacoma. In lieu of flowers and gifts your thoughtful donations to the Jack Crispin Memorial Fund can be made at any Bank of America Branch nation wide. All funds will assist in relieving the family of hospital care and end of life expenses. All loved ones wish to extend their deepest gratitude to all Grays Harbor County EMT's and Aberdeen Hospital ER staff for providing compassionate and dignified care. "Big Jack", my best friend's brother.
It's not supposed to be like this. You were too tough.
I will always remember, drag racing, the occational skuffle on State Street and that your Gremlin was faster that my '56 Chevy. I remember the canyon parties and four wheeling. You helped me get my first Harley Davidson. We will always remember and be thankful for that awesome weekend in Moab with Shaun & Jill's family,
and you and Nadine. We remember that as the nights got late you would keep track of everyone and "Diniliciuos" would make sure we were all having fun. You guys were so good to our kids.
Jack you are part of a family that I have known and loved for over 40 years. A family who's kindness and generousity helped our family in our time of sorrow. We will be forever grateful. We know that Dini and the kids will miss you and we pray for their comfort.
Jack, God has called and you have answered. Until we meet again my friend.
Dini, you and your family are in our prayers and we are here if you need someone to talk with.
Love, Tom & Donna Ostler Family.

Nadine, Ashley, and Tyler,

We have felt the loss of Jack so much that words can’t begin to describe our feelings. Our feelings for the three of you and your loss are also overwhelming. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

The Celebration of Life for Jack was a great help for us to move from a perspective of loss to one of remembrance. Jack was everywhere. All the pictures, the memorabilia, and his personal items brought Jack back to us. We would look around at the faces and be able to see in them the feelings everyone had for Jack. Everyone had stories from their experiences with him. We have plenty ourselves but the first one that comes to mind describes Jack perfectly. When we moved into our house all of you helped. At the time we had an antique piano, the kind that is really big and heavy. The house was new and had a wood floor in the entry way and of course we did not want to scratch it by dragging the piano across it. Five of us picked up one end to carry it into the house. It was a real struggle and we almost dropped it several times. Jack, of course, carried the other end by himself and made it look easy. We always knew that all we had to do was pick up the phone and Jack would be there to help no matter what we needed. We only wish we could have done as much for him as he has done for us. He is our friend and he will be missed.

Dine and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I can not even put into words as to how great of a person Jack was. Jack always had a way of bringing things to ease and making everyone smile. I will greatly miss the good ol' duck farts :) and the late night bowling trips when you all come into town. But mostly his great big bear hugs. I know that he is up there smiling down watching over all of you. You're all in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
