James Jim Hobbick

SFC (Ret) James (Jim) Hobbick Born Feb 9 1925; passed July 9, 2007 at 82 years. He originaly came from Menomonie, WI. He lived in Tacoma for 20 years and moved to Eatonville in the 80's to live near his daughter, Karen Folk of Eatonville. His son is James Hobbick of Tacoma. He has two sisters, Irene and Loraine, and a brother Jack from Menomonie. A veteran of two wars, Jim enlisted in the Army out of high school and took part of the invasion at Normandy as a tank commander. He also served in the Korean conflict. As past Post Commander of the VFW in Eatonville, he was known as a fierce defender of freedom and a real patriot. There will be a viewing at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd in Tacoma starting at 11 am with military graveside services at 12:30 pm Saturday July 14, 2007.
