Faye, Justin & Brett,
We are deeply and sincerely sorry for your loss. Johnny was a great friend of ours and also a great father and husband. He supported his boys in all of their activities and adventures in life.
I remember the times when we coached our kids in grade school basketball and how competitive he was. We also worked on alot of projects together over a 40 year span which brought us closer and much success. I know family was important to him and he proved that everyday by his strong and determined work ethic to make sure they had everything they wanted.
Johnny could come across as being rough around the edges, but there is nothing he wouldn't do for a friend, because he had a huge heart. At 65 years old, he was up on our 2 story house last summer helping me finish my roof. While doing so, we enjoyed talking about our children's successes in life and how proud we were of the successful men they have become. I could tell by the tone in his voice how proud he was of them.
Memories of our youth will forever stand out in my mind. Johnny will be missed. He was definitley one of a kind and God broke the mold after he was born. God speed Johnny.
