My family has thought alot about Papa Johnnie over this last month that has flashed by so quickly. We have many wonderful memories of John.
He, as many of you would know, had a special character that you would find only in a few lucky people. His family and friends loved to be around him, and we all listened intently not wanting to miss to whom he would be sharing his "opinions" with.
How do you say goodbye to such a special man? You can't with words, only with thoughts, wishing that he hears you, and hoping that he knows how you feel about him. John was sure to ALWAYS tell you how proud he was of his family. His wife, his children, and his granchildren were always part of his evening conversations. He was always sure to tell you of how proud he was of them and how much he loved them.
To his family, Sharon, Damien, Brandon, Andrew, and my sister Carol especially, I hope that you will feel him around you, because you will always in so many ways still be a part of him.
His body is now empty, but his soul will always be a part of you. He will be in your thoughts, in your dreams, in the sunset you see on a beautiful summer evening. HE WILL BE WITH YOU ON ALL THE SPECIAL OCCASIONS THAT YOU THINK HE MIGHT BE MISSING. On those very hard days when you think it will be hard to make it. I hope you will feel him there with you and remember how much HE IS MISSING YOU TOO.
On Friday when we are thinking and remembering him, it will be so hard not to be sad. But we will be there giving HONOR to a man that so very much deserves it.
We will always miss that dear man many called Papa Johnnie.

We will sorely miss our friend Johnnie O. Johnnie often said " I love my life, boy, I love my life". John loved his family and friends and we all knew it because he wasn't afraid to tell us. John lived a life of celebration and gratitude and we always came away from a visit with the Oneals knowing that we were blessed to have been included. We will miss you John, see you in heaven.

Johhnie O',
He had touched so many lives, treated so many people like family.
To know Johnnie was to love Johnnie. May the memory of not who you were, but what you stood for carry on forever. I will always remember you and preach "Sweet deal O'neal".
To the O'neal family I am so sorry for your loss. Johnnie will forever be remembered and never be forgotten. Heaven truly is a better place today because of Johnnie.
Sending all of my families love,

Papa Johnnie will forever hold a very special place in the hearts of myself, my husband & my children. We loved him more than many others we have known, and he leaves a huge hole in this family. We count it such a blessing to know have known John O'Neal and will miss him so greatly.
