Jonathan Oldfield Obituary
March 8, 1955 - April 12, 2024
Riverview, Florida - Jon was born and raised in Tacoma and graduated from Foss High School. He moved to Florida in 2022 to be closer to family. He passed in a hospice facility in Tampa, Fl after a lengthy struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Jon was known to be quiet but friendly and ready to make a new friend. He loved working with disabled children and attended Bates Vocational School to further his education in that field. He loved music, movies, art and drawing and always shared his computer abilities with his friends. Jon loved cats. All of his were rescues and very dear to him.
Jon is survived by his sister Marvell Jones and niece Kimberly Howell

Jon was my good friend for many, many years...over 20 years. We lost touch in 2004 or so. Jon was one of the kindest, sweetest people and my ex husband and I loved him. I am sorry we lost touch. I am glad he was with family in the latter years of his life. Godspeed dearest friend.

Jon was my friend, confidant and fellow artist for 18 years. His primary medium was colored pencil but he also painted animal portraits in acrylic. His kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity extended to all who knew him. Jon's skill with animals endeared him to his workmates at Metropolitan Animal Hospital in Tacoma, Washington, where he is sorely missed...He had a special way of working with animals in need of comfort and kindness...He was dearly loved for his generous spirit.... Jonathan, this quiet, gentle soul who graced our lives for what seems like a very short time, will never be forgotten...My friend, my Buddy, will always be tucked under my heart for all he was and still is to so many....
