Kevin could always lift me up with his smile and his baby blue eyes. He had a way of making a person feel so much worth. There is a big hole in the world now. At our last reunion he (jokingly) said,"We have to have these reunions a little more often. People are dropping like flies!" Oh please God, we never thought it would be him. The world has lost a valuable piece of its puzzle. I'll never forget you. :)

Steve and I have known Kev since we moved into Franklin Lofts 14 years ago. He was the most endearing, unexpected best friend we have never imagined finding. We know he is out of pain though the loss of Kevin always being there with a call or text, very difficult to accept. When he found his angel Kristin everything would be ok. She was forever at his side comforting Kevin through his final breath. No question, McDevitt knew he was loved greatly.
My heart so heavy. God speed Kevin. I miss you. xo

Kevin made such a deep and lasting impression to everyone he met with his direct, honest, and loving ways. I don't think he ever met a stranger or at least not for very long. The memories and laughter we shared together as a family will always be with us and never forgotten. We loved you as our “son” and you brought so much happiness to all of us who knew what a wonderful human being you were to everyone. May your journey now be without pain and filled with peace. Forever in our hearts.

My deepest regrets to Kevin's family and particularly to you Kristin. Over the past few years, I have had numerous opportunities to talk with Kevin and he often shared his love for you and how you have helped him cope with his battle with Cancer. Kevin amazed me in his having such a positive outlook for the future as he dealt with the pain and suffering associated with the cancer. We all loved Kevin and now we wish him peace.
