I knew Larry when he attended McCarver and Stadium. I was going to Jason Lee. However, the best times when were young teens. He was playing with the Rockers, and he was my boyfriend. My first kiss. He took me to my first Wailers Dance. I would go to all these dances they played at. Than Larry met Ardith in Eatonville. We had such good times than. So Bobby Koch and I hung out. I loved going to the dances they played. It was fun memories. Last time I saw Larry was when his dad was in the hospital at TAc Gen. It was nice to see him, and sorry I did not see more of him thru out the years. Life is short...He was a great guy.

I say amen to the comments and sentiments written so far. I remember that side car motorcycle. Nice notice for the newspaper, Dena Louise. I look foward to spending time with family and friends and remembering such an interesting guy.

I still can not believe this has happened. I will never have another relationship like I had with Larry. I lived next door to him for half of my life (24 years). My father left for CA in 1981 and I moved into Larry's house. I stayed until 2005. He was a terrible landlord but the best friend a person could ever ask for. I can not describe what he was to me uncle, brother, friend. I could always count on him for anything. There are so many stories I heard about his family and childhood, life experiences we shared and just plain old laughs, I could go on forever. I have a big hole in my heart. I am very greatful that he went peacefully. He would have made a lousy patient! I will always remember him for the bikes, cars and gardening as I go on with him only in my heart!!!

Wow! I don't even know how to express my feeling or emotions. I will never forget as a kid, Uncle Larry taking me on his 3 wheel Harley! Thinking how cool he was with his long hair and loud motorcycle! I would be at Aunt Rene and Uncle Loren's just waiting to hear him come down the street! It will be a memory I will have forever!
As I know there is no word's that can comfort any of the Ezell's, think of all the awesome memory's we all have of him. He will now be able to join Grandpa and Grandma Ezell in paradise.

I attended Stanley Elementary School and McCarver Jr. High with Larry. I remember his parents, his brother, and his sister very well. Larry, Bill Slyter (drums), and myself (tenor sax) performed in a couple of musical talent shows together as "The Rockers." This was at about the time of the beginning of the "Fabulous Wailers" in Tacoma. I still hum the the tune of "I'm Walkin" on a daily basis that Larry performed at a talent show at McCarver Jr. High back in the late 50's. Larry was a friend and a great musician. I will miss him.
