Lee Lagerquist Obituary

Lee Lagerquist 4/28/1946 ~ 5/19/2008 God lit the wick of his loudest cannon on April 28, 1946, and just as he suspected, it burned BRIGHTLY until shooting off on May 19, 2008. As an infant, Dad was lovingly embraced as one of their own by George and Margaret Lagerquist. He grew up with older sister Bette and younger brother Jon. He married young and had two daughters, Kim and Melissa. After divorcing, he met the love of his life, Linda, to whom he's been married for 30 years and proved that death really was the ONLY thing to part their ways. They had two daughters, Holli and Kelli. Several years ago, Dad found his birth mother Joy, who not only welcomed him with open arms but also gave him two brothers and extended family as well. Joy passed away in Feb. 2008 to join George and Margaret and several of Dad's friends, in preparing Heaven for their son. Left to live his legacy and miss his tenderhearted personality and vibrant sense of humor: one true love, Linda; daughters Kim (Jeff), Melissa, Holli (Erik), Kelli; brothers Jon (Jennifer), Jim (Ina), Ron (Bonnie); sister Bette (Marlin); 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special grand- dog Smokey, and the greatest friends anyone could ask for. The family wishes to thank Hospice, Hospice House and Family First for their devotion to Dad's comfort. A celebration of life will be held at Tacoma Yacht Club on May 28, 2008 at 6pm. For directions and more info, visit www.leelagerquist.com . In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad's memory may be made to Franciscan Foundation.

Dear Linda & girls,

I will always remember Lee's great sense of humor and his generosity. He was very generous of his time & other resources and was always there for a friend. He will be remembered fondly and dearly missed. Thank you for the great times at Sars restaurant and the 4th of July barbecues.

My deepest condolences,

Ted

I will surely miss your smiles and jokes. You always knew how to light up a room and how to make us all laugh.
I want to send a hug to Linda and the family, and to let them know that my thoughts and prayers are with them. Lee will surely be missed.

Dad, You would be happy to know that your "4 girls" had fun together this weekend. I miss you so much! I can only guess that you sent the squirrel down the middle of the road to remind us that you are always there! :) Love and miss you SOOO much. ~Kim, Jeff & Kids

I know that in Heaven he is happy and knowing that he went to the next step of his journey with all of love in his heart that has been given to him by all who have ever met him. His memory will live strong by not only family members but people that only knew him for a short while. His smile is eternal
