Papa... I don't think anyone could represent that name any better then you. I'm going to miss all the yelling at me to turn off the lights, shut the screen doors, or put my dishes away. I'm going to miss going to the lake with you every summer, swimming after church, camping with you, hugging you, and talking politics with you! I swear you were the only one that understood! I know you're looking out for me up there! I thank god everyday for blessing me with such a wonderful grandfather... miss you forever and always. Rest in peace.

I grew up at the Clayton house, living across the street and loved to be around Les as he always made me feel like part of the family. I have so many memories, I can see Les sitting at the kitchen table eating hot peppers and then drinking the juice as if it was water. I havent seen Les for many years but think of him often and I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers to Allison and Kim and to the rest of Les's family I never had the chance to meet. Renee Kinyon(Puyallup, WA)

Les was a wonderful man to me. He's always embraced me and I loved him dearly. Through the years to me he has guided me with my children and was the grandpa my girls never had. He was a man in whom I owe many thanks for all he has brought to my life. I will always remember him. His smile, he's eye's and his words of encouragement. He's faith in God gave him life and in turn, he gave it back. I will always love him and miss him. My prayers are with the family.

I first meet Les and Patty in 1978 when he was coaching his daughter Alison's softball team. I moved to Spokane a few years after that but I had the opportunity to reconnect with him in 2004. I worked by one of the stores he delivered at so I got the chance to visit with him about once a month for several years. Driving down the street he was easy to recognize with his silver hair and that stricking smile. We talked about his family, how much he loved Alison and Kym and his love for Jesus Christ. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
