As Scott said when he called me about Lloyd's passing "It's an end of a era"
All the memories I have with you and dad are great memories. I still remember all the Fircrest Fun Day you started with dad. The making of Santa that greeted people as they drove into Fircrest. So many memories to list, you're going to be missed.

Love the memories of the 4th of July and the Vashon house, some of the best ones from my childhood. The smell of your cigar and your laughter on the deck, Carol cooking up a storm as she was always an amazing party host. You will always be in my heart Uncle Lloyd. It deeply saddens my heart to learn of your passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. You will be missed dearly.
Warm regards,

I send my sympathies and thoughts to Lloyd's family. My family lived next door to Lloyd and his family on Vashon Island. I remember the construction of their house, the kids growing up and the many gatherings held there. Lloyd and Carol loved to entertain and the beach community loved to party so it was a great mix. Growing up on Vashon I remember how all the men would get together for their summer projects always helping out whoever needed work of any kind done. They all worked at building and maintaining the road from the highway down to the houses along the beach. I miss the Vashon house my family owned for 90 years and I know Lloyd will be missed by everyone still living there. He was a kind and good human being, loved by many.

We have lost a true entrepreneur. I met Lloyd 14 years ago when he was one of my key angel investors in my startup, CallVision. Over the years Lloyd provided countless bits of wisdom, advice and investment dollars when we needed it most. When I called him to let him know we had sold the business and that he was going to make a healthy return, he grumbled “now I'm going to have to find another charity to donate it as I've been successful enough”. It was a pleasure to have known and learned from him. My thoughts are with all of his family as I'm sure he's deeply missed.
Best regards,

Dear Carrol & Family: It asks me below to say the right word for Lloyd, I really don't have his or my word to jell to any of his or mine, I truly admired Lloyd for all accomplishments in life and that I was a small part of them, Lloyd was my true friend for almost 60 Years, I could not begain to put together a Starting point I'll miss him very much, Guess another thing I'll have to bide my time before I can comb his Eyebrows again and wash his glasses in Gin. John Coy (40 years) and I (25 years) lived down the beach from Lloyd and his family on Magnolia/Indian Point on Vashon Island. And yes, Lloyd did have a smile that encompassed all who were near him. He and his family opened their house to many a party for many summers. Lloyd will be missed . . . RIP - friend and neighbor.
